Medical Use and Dosage – mode of administration
HEDERA HELIX is indicated in diseases of the respiratory tract, gastrointestinal tract, rheumatic diseases and hyperthyroidism. It is also used in symptomatic treatment of coughs, during benign acute bronchial conditions and symptomatic treatment of acute and chronic inflammatory bronchial disorders.
All herbal preparations can be used in the treatments of relief of cough associated with catarrhs, of the respiratory tract, acute catarrhs of the airways with cough, in the symptomatic treatment of coughs.
In all aforementioned health problems it can be used in dry extract and the suggested dosage is 12 ml 3 times daily, or in herbal tea and the suggested dosage is 1 spoon tea 3 times daily, or in liquid extract and the suggested dosage is 3 times daily 12 – 15 drops.

Combinations & Contraindications
Hedera should not be used during pregnancy and lactation without medical advice.
It has often been reported to cause allergic contact dermatitis.
In overdose it might provoke vomit and neurodisorders.
