Medical Use and Dosage – mode of administration
MELISSA OFFICINALIS is used for the relief of mild symptoms of mental stress and to aid sleep. It is also used for symptomatic treatment of mild gastrointestinal complaints including bloating and flatulence. Moreover, it deals with mental stress and supports mental relaxation.
Herbal tea is used to improve general condition, to treat mental stress, to aid sleep, and deals with mild dyspeptic complaints such as feeling fullness and flatulence. In order to prepare herbal tea, can be used 1 cup of tea, 1-3 times daily.
Powdered herbal substance is used in the symptomatic treatment of digestive upsets, such as epigastric distension, slow digestion, eructation, and flatulence. Traditionally, it is used as an adjuvant treatment against the painful component of functional digestive disorders. Also, it is used for the symptomatic treatment of neurotonic conditions of adults and children, notably in cases of mild sleep disorders. In all aforementioned health problems can be used powdered herbal substance 3 times daily.
Soft extract can be used 2 - 3 times daily, in order to deal with general condition in mental stress, to aid sleep, symptomatic treatment of mild dyspeptic complaints such as feeling fullness and flatulence.
Dry extract is indicated in cases of the symptomatic treatment of dyspeptic complaints such as repletion and flatulence. We take 2 soft capsules of dry extract 3 times daily.

Combinations & Contraindications
In case of contraindication, there is hypersensitivity to the active substance.
In case of digestion problems, Melissa can combine with Humulus lupulus, Chamomilla and Spiraea.
It is contraindicated to be used during pregnancy without medical surveillance.
