Medical Use and Dosage – mode of administration
The most common use of TANACETUM VULGARE was as an abortifacient. It stimulates blood flow to the pelvis and uterus and was used to bring on menstruation or abort and unwanted pregnancy.
It has also been used in children to treat lice, fleas and worms.
As herbal tea we use 1 spoon of dried tansy in one cup of boiling water for 10-15 minutes. We drink twice daily.
For tincture we use 1-2ml 3 times daily.
The fresh green leaves can be pounded and applied as poultice.
