Medical Use and Dosage – mode of administration
ORIGANUM VULGARE is used to treat infections of respiratory such as bronchitis, cough, fever, asthma, tonsillitis and digestive disorders. It is also used external on the skin in order to treat arthritis and edema. It is very useful against toothache and female genital such as emmenagogue.
ORIGANUM is anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, expectorant and tonic.
In all aforementioned health problems, it can be used in herbal tea. The suggested dosage is 2 – 3 cups daily. Also, it can be used in tincture form external on the skin against arthritis and edema.
