Medical Use and Dosage – mode of administration


TRIBULUS TERRESTRIS is used as anti-inflammatory, stimulant, aphrodisiac and anti-hypertensive remedy. It is very useful remedy as diuretic, as it helps in the propulsion of stones along the urinary tract.
It is also very good remedy in reproductive system and in benign prostatic hyperplasia, and also helps women with menstrual problems.
Tribulus is also indicated in digestive system and skin system as anti-inflammatory.
It is believed that helps to maintain energy levels, promote better sleep, coping with stress and stabilize mood.
The extract of this herb stimulates the production of luteinizing hormone, which in turn directly affects the production of testosterone. In women, it increases estrogen, so the extract can be used to increase libido.
It is also used to treat edema, migraine, neuralgia, and bronchitis, spasms of the biliary tract, the stomach and intestines, pertussis.

Tribulus might cause hypoglycemia, because of the reduction of blood sugar levels.
Women who have menstrual disorders maybe present menorrhagia. Also, in case of pregnancy there is possibility of abortifacient.
Men who are sensitive with prostate there is big possibility of prostate volume increase.
It is contraindicated to be used during pregnancy without medical surveillance.
